The Police must be prepared to tackle technology-based crime
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina ordered the police to be prepared to combat technology-based crimes as well. She said that new crimes are emerging with the advancement of technology and instructed the police to be prepared to fight crime properly.
He gave this instruction while speaking to senior police officers at the Prime Minister's office on Thursday, February 29 in the afternoon.
IGP Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun, Secretary of the Public Security Division of the Ministry of Home affairs Md. Mostafizur Rahman and others were present at that time.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said that as technology is increasing, crimes are also happening in different ways. New levels of crime are emerging. Let our police force be ready to deal with them properly. We are very careful and looking into this. Because if the method of dealing with the crime does not work, then it cannot be dealt with properly.
Referring to the police as 'friend of the people', the prime Minister said that our police force is now working as a friend of the people. Nowadays people don't fear the police as before, people have regained their trust in the police. People now consider the police as a friend, a place of trust.
Condemning the Israeli attack on Palestine, Sheikh Hasina said that Bangladesh strongly protested the ongoing attack and genocide on Palestine. I protested it everywhere. The way the unspeakable torture and massacre of Palestinian women and children are going on; not only their food, medical care, hospitals, and even the places where relief is distributed, is being attacked. There can be no more heinous act of anti-humanity than this. It has an impact on the economy of the whole world. That shock is coming to us too. However, we are trying to figure out how to deal with it.
